The current demand for occupational, psychometric assessment is growing at an unprecedented rate in Ireland.

 SHL Group, world leading provider of psychometric assessment and development solutions, has invested in people at its Dublin based Irish branch in answer to the needs of the market.

To meet these needs and also as part of a global business plan to move towards a more strategic, consultative approach, SHL Group have appointed two new Business Development Managers, William Burke and Claire McGarry and Consultant Kris Kosy to allow SHL to realise the potential of the Irish business.

Business Development Managers, William Burke and Claire McGarry will be primarily involved in growing SHL Ireland, by increasing business activity to meet existing client demand. There is a real market need for assessment and consultancy expertise that SHL is in a position to fulfil and the initial focus will be on assisting strong Irish businesses with a global reach to become stronger through an understanding of their employees. SHL is also able to provide the global insight as well as local knowledge.

William Burke, a former mayor of Galway, joins SHL with a strong business background having run his own Galway based business for several years, providing memory storage solutions to broadcast and financial institutions. He also spent 15 years as Director of European Operations for Mountgate Data Systems. William has held roles as Regional Manager of the largest voluntary housing association in Ireland as well as Irish Sales Manager for Brady Inc. an American tracking and traceability solutions provider. William holds primary degrees in Electronics and Marketing, as well as a Masters degree in Business Administration.

Prior to joining SHL, Claire McGarry was the Trade Development Manager at Philip Morris Ltd. where her key responsibility was to pilot and implement a national trade marketing programme. Aside from having spent time in America and the Middle East, working primarily in the FMCG (fast moving consumer goods) industry, Claire also holds a degree in Human Resources Management.

SHL Senior Consultant Kris Kosy has spent several years working for international consulting companies, where he has specialised in talent management and HR, including the American firm Hewitt Associates, Hudson Global Resources and Cap Gemini Ernst & Young. Kris has delivered a number of projects in change management, designing HR functions and increasing employee motivation and engagement.

Kris is also a lecturer in Psychology at the University of Warsaw, where he is currently preparing a Ph.D Thesis for the Warsaw School of Economics. He also holds a primary degree in Economics and a Masters in Occupational Psychology.

Irish industry is growing rapidly and the needs of employers to meet client demands dictate that corporate Ireland is crying out for the right skills in the right places.
