Overview
Interviews remain the most popular method of assessment for selection.  A candidate is unlikely to get a job without being interviewed as part of the selection process. This workshop will provide participants with the tools and steps they need to effectively use a Competency Based Structured Interview to add to their existing selection process.  The workshop provides actual practice opportunities using the client's interview guides.

Objectives
To enable participants to:

  • Understand the concept of competencies
  • Appreciate your role/responsibilities and know how to serve as an interviewer.
  • Be aware of the logistics surrounding the process
  • Use the interview guides provided to assess candidates objectively.
  • Understand how to record behavioral observations
  • Understand how to evaluate interview responses using the positive and negative anchors provided.
  • Improve hiring success rates.

Human Resource professionals and consultants, recruiters, training specialists, line mangers, and management development specialists involved in the objective selection and development of people where tests are, or could, be used.
