Selecting the most appropriate method of assessment for an individual or group requires consideration about how best to deploy the tool and the type and level of information you want to highlight.

 

Ways to deploy assessments:

  Online assessment - fast, effective and secure with the wide reach and availability that the Internet brings.

  SHL Online Bureau - fast, simple and cost effective.

  Paper and pencil testing -  the traditional self-sufficient, cheap and portable option - almost all SHL tests and questionnaires are available in this format.

Types of assessment:

  Ability testing - the single best method of predicting job success. These tools measure current ability and future potential for different work skills

  Personality assessment - looks at work styles and behavior - how candidates fit with certain work environments, how they work with others, and how they cope with change.

  360 degree tools - provide feedback on an individual's performance from a variety of perspectives, giving insight as to how job performance can be improved.

  Simulation exercises - a variety of exercises such as role play, fact finding exercises, and analysis presentations. Designed to simulate real life workplace scenarios. Performance in these exercises is usually assessed in our Development Centers. 

  Interest inventory tools - assess an individual's personal preference or liking of specific types of job-related activity in a wide range of occupations.
