Psychometrics: Untrained HR Professionals Put Employee Development at Risk

According to new research by SHL, the world-leader in psychometric assessment, a significant number of UK organisations practising psychometric assessment could be doing so without proper training.

Yet allowing an unqualified individual to feedback to a candidate can result in inaccurate appraisals which are potentially damaging to both the individual and the organisation.  To help firms stick to best practice, SHL have launched a new range of training courses that will make the training more accessible and more relevant to businesses.

With a rise in the use of psychometric testing in the workplace it is more important than ever that those administering the tests are fully trained.  Based on market research and the results of feedback from its clients, SHL has redesigned its training courses for conducting psychometric assessments to better suit the needs of HR personnel. 

Time in the office is more precious than ever so the courses have been shortened from five to three days.  In addition, greater time has been allowed for practical experience so that clients can practice interpreting and feeding back psychological assessment and then use their new skills back at the office.
