OPQ32 Emotional Intelligence Report*

A rich and powerful development application which helps us to see how well we understand our own and others feelings and emotions and how well we manage our relationships with others.

Managing Feelings:

The competencies to do with how individuals manage their thoughts, emotions and feelings. There are two competency scores:

  • Feelings and Emotions
describes how well they tend to handle their feelings about themselves and others.
  • Personal Insight
describes how well they understand relationships and patterns in their own thoughts, feelings and actions.

Managing Relationships:

The competencies to do with how individuals manage their relationships with other people. Again, there are two competency scores:

  • Empathy
describes how well they appreciate the perspectives of other people and the way others may feel about things and events.
  • Social Ease
describes how well they are able to adapt their approach and style to different work and social situations.

OPQ32 Development Action Planner Report*

The Development Action Planner considers the individual's OPQ32 profile and indicates whether each of a series of key management competencies (SHL IMC dimensions) is likely to be a relative strength, or an area for development. The report:

  • Summarises the key management competency areas that should form the focus of the development discussion.
  • Gives a clear, competency-based summary of an individual's strengths and likely development needs based upon their OPQ32 profile.
  • Offers competency-based tailored development actions, which directly address the areas of limitation within each of the competency areas.
  • Provides key information in a colourful and succinct manner.
  • Generates an action plan for immediate review and discussion with the individual undergoing development.

It then provides bullet point summaries of the key elements or attributes that directly impact each competency, offering development suggestions that address the dimensions that may be limiting the individual's performance in that area.

OPQ32 - Maximising Your Learning Report

The report is designed to support people in getting the most from their development, focusing on the work context as well as more formal development situations. The report:

  • Summarises the individual's preferred approach to learning against four key dimensions.
  • Describes the practical implications of each preferred approach to learning.
  • Gives an overview of potential strengths and development areas in relation to key work and learning activities.
  • Suggests activities to help the individual maximise their learning.

The information in the report is presented in a colourful, accessible, bullet point format. The activities outlined in the report focus on areas that can be included in day-to-day work activities and challenge the person to build on the strengths of their preferred approach to learning, as well as accessing the benefits from less frequently used approaches. It can be used in a range of applications, where encouraging a more pro-active approach to learning will be of benefit.

Leadership Potential Indicator*

The leadership report provides candidates with insights into their unique style of operating and the challenges and opportunities they face as a manager and leader. In addition, this report will help them to benchmark their leadership potential against other senior managers and professionals.
