HR and the Economics Challenge
Calls from the boardroom for a more strategic
approach to HR required a response. SHL gathered
together a number of industry experts to debate and
explore how HR is altering its approach. The plan
was to scope out the extent of the task, discuss the
ability and attitude of the HR personnel towards
making the required changes.
This paper is the result. It does not set out to provide
answers, less so questions. It does aim to catalyse,
inform and frame the debate constructively, in the
hope that both conversations and thinking can move
forward in a meaningful and concrete way.
