What is the SHL Competency Framework?
The Competency Framework is an easy to apply model/mechanism that can describe effectively the key behaviours that drive performance in virtually any job, at any level, in any organization.
It provides a common language for the organization - Competencies have come to form an intermediary language between different groups within the workplace. Their popularity probably owes a great deal to the ease with which competencies can be commonly understood and discussed by applicants, jobholders, Human Resources professionals and psychologists. Rather than dealing with potentially complex psychological themes of personality, motivation, aptitude, and so forth, competencies allow a focus on clearly specified behaviour.
