Critical Reasoning Test Battery (CRTB)

The Critical Reasoning Test Battery is designed to assess reasoning skills at administrative, supervisory and junior management levels, including office supervisors, senior personal assistants, sales and customer service staff, and management trainees.

VC1.1 Verbal Evaluation

Measures the ability to understand and evaluate the logic of various kinds of arguments.  It includes a variety of topics relevant to supervisory and junior management grades.

Time: 30 minutes

NC2.1 Interpreting Data

Measures the ability to make correct decisions or inferences from numerical data.  Straightforward statistical information and other numerical data are presented.  The test is appropriate for any job involving analysis or decision-making based on numerical facts.  Calculators are not used.

Time: 30 minutes.


DC3.1 Diagrammatic Series

Measures reasoning with diagrams and requires the recognition of logical rules governing sequences.  It is suitable for any occupation where logical or analytical reasoning is required, e.g. technical research, computer programming.

Time: 20 minutes.
