Overview: Scenarios is a unique test of managerial judgement - an individual's ability to weigh up 'real life' managerial situations and decide on appropriate and effective ways of handling them. Suitable for: Scenarios is best suited for use in a commercial environment as an aid to recruitment decisions, to assist in management development and training initiatives, or in self-development.





What does it measure? Scenarios measures managerial judgement. The test presents individuals with a series of 16 hypothetical managerial situations, each of which is followed by several possible responses. Individuals are asked to rate each of these responses using a six-point scale, from highly desirable to highly undesirable. In total, 100 responses are rated. These answers are compared with a set of ideal answers generated by managerial experts, giving an assessment of an individual's managerial judgement. Benefits Whilst a candidate may have the knowledge and skills to do a job, Scenarios enables a recruiter to understand how the candidate might react in 'real life' managerial situations and how likely they are to implement appropriate and effective ways of handling those situations. Scenarios also allows a manager to obtain meaningful feedback on the strengths and development needs in the area of managerial judgement for themselves or their team.
