Fastrack
The Fastrack aptitude test has been specifically designed to assess an individual’s aptitude for problem solving and analysing. It tells you how well a person is likely to apply reasoning and judgement when making decisions, particularly when faced with new information.
How and when Fastrack can be administered
The Fastrack simulation involves a series of card-based scenarios that require different analysis and decision-making strategies which simultaneously test how quickly and accurately a person can assimilate and work with incomplete information. It can be used in a range of situations, for example:
- Recruiting roles where individuals are required to rapidly assimilate and apply new information. Some of the types of roles where this would apply are Business Analysts and Strategists, Systems Analysts, Management Consultants and Financial Specialists
- In a graduate assessment centre to provide finer differentiation between higher ability candidates when you wish to select the best
- At a staff development centre where you need to identify where development is required to improve problem analysis and decision making skills.
What Fastrack can tell you
- Fastrack can help you identify who will be able to manage the demands and make sound decisions under uncertainty and time-pressure
- Combined with other SHL tests, Fastrack can improve your assessment of risks and help you identify where investment in key employees will be most cost effective
- Fastrack is simple to use and score and people find it enjoyable to undertake.
