Scenarios
Scenarios is a test of managerial judgement, measuring an individual's ability to weigh up real life managerial situations and decide on appropriate and effective ways of handling them.
How Scenarios is applied
Scenarios places candidates in a number of situations where a range of responses are possible. Ratings are provided on an overall level of Managerial Judgement, which is broken down into the key components of:
- Managing Objectives - making best use of energies, consultation, alignment with objectives, prioritisation
- People Management - managing a team, balancing people issues with motivation and performance, leading and encouraging
- Reputation/Corporate Management - supporting, sustaining and being positive about the organisation, managing your manager, protecting the reputation of the organisation.
This makes it possible to assess candidates not only on their overall level of judgement, but also on how effective their judgement is when dealing with different kinds of corporate issues.
