Culture & Motivation
Culture and motivation should play a key part in any business strategy. An organisation with poor motivation or with little focus on cultural values will find that these weaknesses affect many areas of the business, translating into a high staff turnover rate and impacting on the customer’s experience of the company.
SHL has two products designed specifically to help you address these business issues:
Corporate Culture Questionnaire (CCQ)
Taking time to assess your corporate culture can help you:
- Ensure that understanding of the company’s values is consistent across departments and locations
- Improve communication across the organisation
- Improve the morale of your staff
- Guide any changes in corporate strategy.

The Corporate Culture Questionnaire gives an in-depth look at the culture of an organisation, looking at its dominant practices and beliefs and how closely these match the objectives of the company. CCQ identifies any areas in your business which do not line up with the organisation’s desired culture and helps you to implement the required change.

Motivation Questionnaire (MQ)
The Motivation Questionnaire helps you understand what motivates the individuals in your company and how you can best harness their strengths for business success. This knowledge can help you get the best out of your staff by enabling you to understand the tasks and situations that each individual will respond best to.
As well as helping you uncover the full potential of employees the benefits of using the Motivation Questionnaire include:
- Reducing staff turnover. If you know what motivates your employees you can use their skills to full advantage, providing them with greater job satisfaction and making them less likely to move to competitors
- Supporting management. The insight into staff motivation makes it easier for Line Managers to support and develop those working for them.
