David Thorpe, Chairman
Since leaving a full-time executive role at Electronic Data Systems (EDS) in 2003, David has been a non-executive director on the Boards of Staffware plc, Anite plc, iSOFT plc, VT Group and Morgan Chambers plc. He is Chairman of CAS Services Ltd and is a non-executive director of Innovation Group plc and Interserve plc.
He was appointed to the Board in June 2009.

David Leigh, Chief Executive Officer
David joined SHL from Steria, a major French IT Services company employing 18,000 people in 16 countries. David was a member of the Executive Committee and Group BPO Director and UK Business Development and Commercial Director.
Prior to Steria, David was the Group Business Development and Commercial Director at Xansa plc. David’s early career was as a corporate lawyer with Herbert Smith, a consultant at McKinsey & Co and a Director of iFormation Group, a private equity fund owned by Goldman Sachs, General Atlantic Partners and the Boston Consulting Group.
David has an MA from Trinity College, Cambridge. He joined the SHL board in March 2008 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer in June 2009.

Emma Lancaster, Chief Finance Officer
Emma has been with SHL for ten years. She was appointed to the Board as CFO when it was a public company listed on London Stock Exchange in November 2001. Since then, Emma has been involved in a number of major transactions for the Group including taking the business private and the recent merger with PreVisor.
Prior to joining SHL, she was Director of Finance and Business Development at The Rank Group plc. Emma’s early career was at Arthur Andersen in a variety of both client facing and internal roles in the Global Corporate Finance group.
Emma is a Chartered Accountant and has also an MA from Keble College, Oxford.

Michael Kessler, Non-Executive Director
Michael B. Kessler has been a Managing Director at Veronis Suhler Stevenson ("VSS") since 2003, and is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. He specializes in investing in the business information services sector, which includes technology-enabled companies engaged in the collection, creation and distribution of data/content. Michael has worked closely with and assisted in the development of many of VSS’ portfolio companies, and is on the boards of directors of SureSource, SHL/PreVisor, Market Strategies International, TMP Worldwide, and Vault.com.
Michael had over 17 years of investment banking experience prior to joining VSS in 2003. He received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, and his MBA from The Wharton School.

Matthew Rourke, Non-Executive Director
Matthew joined HgCapital in 2009 having previously been a partner at Deloitte. After gaining his ACA qualification at Deloitte, he spent 14 years advising private equity firms transacting in Europe and Asia. His last role at Deloitte was Head of Transaction Services in Hong Kong. Matthew is responsible for HgCapital's investments in JLA and ATC Group and sits on the boards of both.
He graduated from the University of Liverpool with a law degree.

Chris Sandham, Non-Executive Director
Before joining SHL, Chris led the buyout of Castlebeck Care Group, a specialist provider of psychiatric services, backed by HgCapital. It was sold this year, achieving the second highest return ever enjoyed by HgCapital. Preceding Castlebeck, Chris was CEO of Priory Healthcare Group, Europe's leading group of psychiatric hospitals. The HgCapital operation was successfully sold in 2000.
Before the Priory, Chris spent seven years as Corporate Services Director of Grand Metropolitan, now Diageo, with worldwide responsibilities of HR, Legal Services and Corporate Affairs. During that time, he chaired a number of business units and overseas affiliates, including Bombay Sapphire Gin Co. He was appointed to the SHL Board as Chairman in November 2006 and became a Non-Executive Director in June 2009.

Lisa Stone, Non-Executive Director
Lisa, who is in charge of the portfolio management team, joined HgCapital in 1999. She was previously employed by LucasVarity for three years where, as Director of Strategy and Business Planning, she was closely involved in the disposal of LucasVarity to TRW. Prior to that, she was a management consultant with both Kalchas and Bain & Co.
Lisa was involved in the investments in Profiad, Tunstall, Newchurch and Match. She is also a director on the board of Visma and Achilles.
Lisa holds a degree in Human Sciences from Oxford University. She was appointed to the Board in November 2006.

Scott Troeller, Non-Executive Director
Scott Troeller is a Partner of Veronis Suhler Stevenson and sits on the firm's Executive Committee. He is also a member of the Investment Committee for each of its private equity and mezzanine debt funds. He is actively involved in all aspects of VSS' activities, including new business development, financial and transactional structuring, portfolio management and monitoring, fund raising and operations of the firm.
Scott has approximately 19 years of private and public equity and debt investment, financing and transactional experience across a broad range of sectors, including information services, education, communications, technology/software, marketing services, business services and media. He has played an active role in leading many VSS' investments, completing over 50 platform and add-on investments and serving on the boards of several current and former portfolio companies. Prior to joining VSS in 1996, Scott was an investment banker with JP Morgan & Co., where his primary focus was on merger and acquisition advisory work in the Media industry. He is a graduate of Rutgers College.

Suzanna Barrett, Company Secretary and Head of Legal Affairs
Suzanna, a UK barrister and solicitor, joined SHL in 2004. She is qualified as a barrister and solicitor in the UK as well as Singapore, and she is also an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (UK). She was previously with Wragge & Co and is a commercial lawyer with extensive experience in advising large international clients on infrastructure and outsourcing projects. She was appointed as Company Secretary on 1 August 2005.

Andrew Bradshaw, President Europe & ANZ
Andrew has 16 years of experience in senior sales and marketing roles. He began his sales career at Hewlett-Packard working with large global and national clients before moving to Microsoft. During this time, he held numerous leadership positions including Head of Manufacturing Sales and Director of Mid-Market & Partners. Most recently, he held senior management positions at Sophos running the UK business and managing its acquisition of Utimaco, including leading its sales team globally.
Andrew has a MEng and joined SHL in August 2009.

Nikki Hall, Chief Human Resources Officer
Nikki has 18 years of experience in human resources and talent management. Prior to SHL, she was Senior Vice President and CHRO at PreVisor/Qwiz for 10 years. During her tenure, she held various roles including SVP - Product Management & Content Development and VP of Professional Services. Nikki’s early career included Senior HR roles at CarMax, as well as HR roles at Glenayre Technologies and the University of Iowa.
She holds a BBA in Human Resources and Industrial Relations from the University of Iowa and is a certified SPHR. Ms. Hall is a member of SHRM.

Paul Levett, Chief Product Officer
Paul began his career at Gemini Consulting, before co-founding one of the UK’s most successful dot com start-ups. He then held senior management positions at Vitaminic and BTLookSmart.
Before joining SHL full time in December 2003, Paul spent a year as an independent consultant providing business advisory and interim management services, including a project with SHL. He led SHL’s UK Product business for 3 years before his appointment to Commercial Director.
Paul has a BA and an MEng from Churchill College, Cambridge.

Robert Morgan, Chief Customer Officer
Robert has over 20 years of senior talent management experience. He began his career in Human Resources and was Vice President, Human Resources for Office Depot headquartered in the US. He moved out of the Human Resources role at Spherion, a global staffing and recruitment company where he ran the Employment Solutions business including the outsourcing and consulting business. While at Spherion he also served as President, The Saratoga Institute. Prior to joining SHL in April 2010 as head of its Americas business, he served as President of Hudson’s Recruitment and Talent Management Business.
He has a degree in Economics from Wake Forest University.

Caroline Paxman, President, Americas
Caroline Paxman has almost 20 years of experience in business process consulting, complex software implementations, and global client account management and support. Caroline joined SHL from PreVisor where she was the Chief Customer Officer, responsible for leading all of the teams involved in creating an outstanding customer service and support experience.
Prior to joining PreVisor in 2003, Caroline was Vice President of Worldwide Services for Retek, an international retail software company. Ms.Paxman’s early career was spent as a Manager in the London office of Accenture, the global management consulting firm.
Ms. Paxman holds a first class honours degree in Business Administration and German, and in 2009 was selected as a ‘Woman to Watch’ by women’s leadership development firm, Leadhership1.

Robert Stephens, Chief Technology Officer
Robert Stephens has 10 years of experience in human resources and talent management. Prior to SHL, he was Senior Vice President and CTO at PreVisor/Qwiz responsible for product development and information technology. In this role, Robert oversaw the development and delivery of world class SaaS talent management products and tools for some of the world’s greatest employers. Robert’s earlier experience includes senior roles at Magnet Communications (now Intuit), BellSouth Cellular, and the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Ga.

Mike Tims, President, Asia, Africa and Middle East
Mike has 12 years' experience in HR services, joining SHL from the Hay Group where he held senior roles including leadership of the Financial Services and TMT practice.
Prior to Hay Group, Mike’s career was in general management where he held MD roles in the manufacturing and IT sectors. His first job was in the army, serving as a captain in Germany, Cyprus and the Falkland Islands.
Mike has a first class honours degree in Engineering. He joined SHL in October 2004.
