Q: Can you share a memorable project where you felt your contributions as an I/O psychologist had a particularly meaningful outcome?

A: Engaging in employee listening and merging it with best practices to continually enhance our performance management and development process is something I am incredibly proud of. We have crafted a more equitable and development-focused journey and process that our team members support.

Q: What advice would you give to someone considering a career in Industrial and Organizational Psychology?

A: One of my favorite sayings as an I/O Psychologist, or even in Psychology in general, is “it depends.” Entering the field means understanding that you will learn a LOT about best practices, but it takes critical thinking and agility to determine what will work best within your given organization to reach that dream endpoint.

Q: How do you engage with the broader I/O psychology community, and do you participate in conferences or networking events?

A: One of my favorite events within the I/O Psychology community is the annual SIOP Conference. Attending is a great way to stay up-to-date on research and best practices! SIOP heavily supports networking, both during the conference and year-round as a society, which is a phenomenal way to make connections and collaborate with others to share ideas and new learnings.
